Perched atop a 3,500 foot mountain with sweeping views over Chiang Mai, we visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. A working monastery where we get the chance of a lifetime to chat, meditate, and be blessed by the local Monks. It is reached by a climb of 300 steps or by tram. Legend says the temple, considered the most important in Chiang Mai, was built after a bone of Buddha was carried up the mountain on the back of a white elephant.

Located atop the Doi Suthep Mountain it offers a panoramic view of the city on clear days. Learn about the amazing history and partake in a ceremonial chant and receive a blessing by the local monk residents as the sun sets over this incredible golden temple.

Your guide(s) will offer to take the kids off your hands for the evening to play games and hang out! Dine, play together, and get to know your new friends even better! Beach capture the flag and other activities dependent on weather and flight arrival time.
